1, 2010 Today Fresh Pond Ranger Jean Rogers and I put up 11 of the Reservation's 15 Tree Swallow boxes. The boxes are always taken down in the fall for cleaning and winter storage. As we were putting up a box on the hillside behind Neville Place, we heard a twittering sound, and looked up to see about 6 Tree Swallows circling overhead, the first we have seen this year. A few minutes later we were putting up a box in another location, and noticed about the same number of swallows right overhead. Apparently they were following us!
