Counting Winter Birds: A Pre-Christmas Bird Count
Led by our member and Brookline Bird Club's statistician, Bob Stymeist (right side of photo), this group of birders circled the pond and kept a record of the numbers of each species that we saw or heard. Indoors at the end, after we made a record of our sightings, Bob did a counting estimation exercise with us, using beans to represent birds.
