After a night and morning of heavy rain, much birdsong, especially robins singing "Cheer-up!" 3   . 4   Removal of garlic mustard, an invasive plant, begun on the hillside near Sousa's Rock. 5   First wildflower (see PHOTO). First Tree Swallow seen over Little Fresh Pond, one week later than last year. 6   . 7   Tree swallow nesting boxes are in place near Black's Nook and Little Fresh Pond. Kingfisher seen at Black's Nook. 8   . 9   Spring Green-up Walk 1-3pm First Northern Flicker and Eastern Phoebe seen. 10   Early Spring Bird Walk 8-10 am Tree swallows are inspecting all 4 nest boxes.
