Shadbush or Serviceberry or Juneberry
(Amelanchier canadensis)
These small native fruit trees are among the earliest to bloom and bear fruit. The several common names indicate bloom time (when shad are running upstream) and fruiting time (June, i.e. wedding season) The small, dark red berries are sweet and juicy.
