Introduction to Lichens
Lichens enthusiast Elizabeth Kneiper shared with participants in this program some of her extensive knowledge of lichens. After an indoor presentation including slides and live specimens, she took the group outside to look at lichens on a brick wall and several nearby trees. Photos show several types of lichens she identified. She also made a list of species at Fresh Pond Reservation that she had identified earlier.
