What's in the Butterfly Meadow?
The answer to this question was: a lot of insects! Naturalist Tom Murray used a stick to tap the branches of trees and flower stems. Insects dropped onto a square of fabric on a plastic frame that Tom held below, where he identified them. Here Tom and Herb Pearce are examining some tiny specimens.
