American Robin (Turdus migratorius) with Worm
This American Robin is perched on the fence located between Little Fresh Pond and Perimeter Road. A songbird, the American Robin is a year round resident of New England. Their diet consists of insects and fruit. What they eat is dependent on the time of day. In the morning, they eat more earthworms (this photo was taken in the morning) and consume mostly fruit later in the day.
