Whorled Loosestrife, Lysimachia quadrifolia

This pretty wildflower is not at all related to the beautiful but destructively invasive Purple Loosestrife that takes over wetlands such as the one north of Little Fresh Pond on the golf course. This species is a native member of the Primrose Family. A patch of the plants can be found near Perimeter Road at the Woodland Restoration and Native Pants Demonstration Project north of the Water Department.
