A Fungus Inventory
The Fresh Pond Reservation Fungus Inventory gained 28 new species today, after mycologist Lawrence Millman led a search around the Pond for old and new species. Recent wet weather has created favorable conditions for mushroom formation.
These four photos show three species (top left to bottom right): Fuligo septica (Scrambled Egg Slime), Ganoderma applanatum (Artist's Conk), and the "eggs" and fruit of Pseudocolus schellenbergia (Stinky Squid.)
