Great Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica)
This showy native wetland plant has been introduced to several areas on the golf course. It is not known whether lobelias once grew naturally next to Fresh Pond. The land next to the Pond has undergone numerous transformations over the past 200 years, and it is unlikely that any of the original plants or their direct descendents have persisted.
