Meets on site at Black's Nook
a Drop-in Style Program - Come any time between 11 and 2!
Fresh Pond Reservation, Cambridge

What is "ponding"? Ponding is the act of looking through a scoop of "pond muck" to find all the beautiful things living in it! Every square inch of a healthy pond should yield something alive. Tadpoles and turtles and nymphs, oh my!

Part of the Cambridge’s Earth Month celebrations, meet the Cambridge Rangers on-site at the boardwalk of Black's Nook (trail map here: https://bit.ly/2G1b3DE) at Fresh Pond Reservation. We'll have the buckets, bins, nets, microscopes, magnifying glasses, and nature guides... you just need to show up and see what you can find living in these waters. It's a (micro) jungle out there! Contact Ranger Tim at tpuopolo@cambridgeMA.gov

Sunday, April 21
10:00 am to 12:00 noon

Since 1970, April 22nd has been declared as Earth Day and a national day of service toward cleaning up our planet. We’ll have the gloves, we’ll have the bags, you just bring the help as we rove through some areas for a little “Spring Cleaning” and give back to our environment. Volunteer for nature!
For more information, contact Ranger Tim at (617) 349-6489 or  tpuopolo@cambridgeMA.gov.  Please call/email ahead if coming with a large group so that we can prepare.

***THE RESERVATION IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM DAWN TO DUSK!***
