Northern Mockingbird, Mimos polyglottos
This curious bird sat nonchalantly while being
photographed from about 8 feet away. Mockingbirds
remain at the Reservation all winter, feeding on berries.
In the spring and early summer, they sing long and loud,
often imitating the songs of other birds.
