Tree Swallow Nest Box #1 at Black's Nook

Fresh Pond Ranger Jean Rogers and Elizabeth Wylde
looked in this nest box to be sure that tree swallows were
building a nest and that no parasitic insects had moved in.

This is a fine looking tree swallow nest. We quickly closed up
the box as the birds chattered nearby. As soon as we moved
away, they came back , as shown in the second photo.
