Bittersweet Nightshade
Solanum dulcamara
The shooting-star shaped flowers of this little vine
give it an exotic appearance. It is a member of the
plant family Solanaceae, that includes potatoes,
tomatoes, eggplants, sweet peppers, chili peppers,
tobacco and petunias.

The oval red berries that will form are slightly toxic,
earning the plant the nickname "Deadly Nightshade."
