Queen Anne's Lace
Daucus carota
This common wildflower is also called "Wild Carrot" and it is
the parent of the carrot. Originating in the Mediterranean, it was
long used as a vegetable, even though the roots were tough and
woody and had to be boiled for hours in order to be made edible.
