Partridge Pea
Cassia fasciculata
This plant, like all of its relatives in the Pea Family, is
a nitrogen fixer. In its roots there are bacteria that have the ability
to
remove nitrogen from the air, where it is not useful to plants,
and convert it into ammonia, which plants can use.
