Black Swallowwort
Cynanchum louiseae
This delicate looking vine is actually a serious threat to many
of the native wildflowers on the Reservation because if its
invasive growth habit. The plant was brought to Cambridge,
Massachusetts from Europe in the late 1800's, perhaps by
the Harvard Botanic Garden. It has since spread over and become invasive in much of the northeastern US and Canada.
