Common Mugwort
Artemisia vulgaris
This non-native herb certainly is common at Fresh Pond Reservation!
The 5-foot tall clumps have a blue-grey cast, and bear nondescript
greenish flowers in tall spikes. The plant can be easily recognized by the
silvery backs on the deeply lobed leaves, and a pleasant aroma when the leaves are crushed.
