American Cranberrybush
Vibirnum opulus var. americanum (trilobum)
These lush berries look good enough to eat and, in fact,
they are--if you add a lot of sugar. Birds don't seem to
mind the tartness, and they will devour them all before spring.
Cranberrybushes are among the native shrubs planted in the
area around Kingsley Park as part of the landscaping of the
new buildings.
