Birding by Ear
Birder Herb Pearce led this special bird walk during which he helped us focus on the songs of birds, both for identification and for locating the birds. Among the species he identified by song were these, above, photographed by Bill Lee during the walk: House Finch, Tree Swallow, and Goldfinch. Also, on the website’s home page, a warbling vireo. All of these birds are males.
