Little Fresh Pond
The shoreline of Little Fresh Pond has been planted with a variety of native trees, shrubs and wildflowers that provide fall and winter food and habitat for animals such as small mammals and birds. Here, red Winterberry Holly (Ilex verticillata) berries contrast with Common Cattails (Typha latifolia) in the background, seedheads of wild sunflowers, and a number of grasses.
