Blacks Nook Forebay
This small wetland adjacent to the boardwalk at Black's Nook is at its peak of color toward the end of summer. In flower, from left to right are: Sweet Pepperbush, Clethra alnifolia(white spikes); pink Joe-Pye Weed, Eutrochium purpureum; White Boneset, Eupatorium perfoliatum; yellow Goldenrod, Solidago sp.; and red Cardinal Flower, Lobelia cardinalis.
