Sweet Pepperbush, Clethra alnifolia
The lovely pink flowers on this native wetland shrub are the result of a natural mutation. Most Clethra flowers are white. Both the pink and the white flowers are strongly aromatic, and are usually surrounded by bees and other nectar-loving insects.
