Wild Geranium, Garanium maculatum
During the weeks in spring when geraniums are in bloom, the understory seems to shine with these cheerful ponk/purple flowers. The plant is also called Cranesbill, so-named because of the shape of the seedpod.These geraniums are native to this part of Massachusetts.
