Lusitania Wet Meadow
The Lusitania meadow was designed to retain runoff from the surrounding land and allow it to slowly filter into the Pond while being cleaned of sediment in the process. The system is working well. The roots of these cattails and other native grasses thrive in this occasionally saturated conditions, and contribute to the filtration process.
