Almost Spring Bird Walk
Today we saw lots of bird activity on the edge of the woods adjacent to Lusitania Meadow, near where this photo was taken. A number of songbirds, including titmice, goldfinches, song sparrows, cardinals. downy woodpeckers, robins, and a mockingbird were poking around in the leaf litter and on tree branches. On the water we saw a red-necked grebe, a pied billed grebe, and a pair of black ducks mating.
