The Woodland Restoration Project
This small fenced area north of the Water Department is the work of
a group of women who volunteered to clear the area of weeds in 2007,
then replanted it with native species.
There is a circular path and a bench for quiet contemplation. Many of
the plants here would also grow well in a shady home garden. Plant species
lists are available in the Ranger Station. There are numbered stakes
near many of the plants that correspond to numbered plant names on the
list. If you visit, please do not allow dogs in this ecologically fragile
environment.
