A Fresh Pond Reservation Walkabout
Cambridge Watershed Manager Chip Norton led participants on a walk along the railroad right of way that passes alongside the Reservation, and described plans for converting it into a bike path. He then led the group on the upper loop path at Kingsley Park, where a major restoration project is being planned.
The photo below of the abandoned railroad was taken from the small bridge at the exit from the Reservation. When we got back to the water department parking lot, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
