Viburnums at Fresh Pond

Among the shrubs that produce berries and provide food for birds and other animals, Viburnums are big producers. Fresh Pond Reservation has at least seven species.
Shown here, left to right, are Arrowood (Viburnum dentatum), Highbush Cranberry (V. trilobum) and Linden Viburnum (V. dilatatum.)
Other Viburnums at Fresh Pond are Maple-leaved Viburnum (V. acerifolium),
Wild Raisin (V. casinoides) Blackhaw (V. prunifolium) and Leatherleaf Viburnum (V.rhytidophyllum.)
All of the above are North American natives except V. dilatatum and V. rhytidophyllum.
