Great Blue Heron
Black's Nook is a popular place for Great Blues, a.k.a. GBH's.
The pond is shallow and full of weeds that make good breeding places for small fish, and good hunting for these fish-eating predators. GBH's also eat frogs, baby turtles, insects, and any other small animals they can catch and get down their gullets.
