Spotted Joe-Pye-Weed, Eupatorium maculatum
The bright pink flowers of this robust meadow wildflower are just beginning to fade to brown. Soon the entire head will have transformed into seeds with fluffy brownish parachutes (pappi) that will be carried in the wind.
