Fresh Pond Stewardship Awards

This year's Fresh Pond Stewardship Awards honored two volunteer Fresh Pond Stewards who are also members of the Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation Planning Committee: Betsy Meyer and Rebecca Ramsay. Both women have given many hours of their time over a number of years toward the preservation and improvement of the environment of the Reservation.
The Master of Ceremony was Deputy City Manager Richard Rossi. Claudia Thompson, president of Grow Native Massachusetts gave a talk titled "The Importance of Citizen Stewardship of our Ecosystem"; Betsy and Rebecca were introduced by Suzanna Black and Elizabeth Wylde; Vice Mayor E. Denise Simmons presented City Resolutions to the two recipients, and Mr. Rossi presented the awards.
