Fascinating Fungi of Fresh Pond
Both the weather and the fungi cooperated to make this outdoor program a well-attended success. Mycologist Larry Millman identified about 30 species of mostly wood-dwelling fungus species, enhancing his descriptions with interesting details and lore. Millman's recently-published Fascinating Fungi of New England is an excellent field guide for local mushroom hunters, and provides fascinating reading for anyone who wants to learn more about the world of fungi.
