Fresh Pond Stewards at Rest
These intrepid weeders (and two additional volunteers) spent two hours
this evening pulling Garlic Mustard and Celandine - invasive weed species
- from the gulf course clubhouse hillside. The hillside had been planted
with native shrubs and perennials in 2010, but the weeds quickly moved
in and outgrew the natives.
Volunteer Stewards led by Deb Albenberg of the Cambridge Water Department
meet for weeding sessions on Monday evenings at 5:30 pm and Thursday
mornings at 10 am at the trailer in the Water Department parking lot.
Gloves, tools, and training are provided.
