A Tale of Two Watersheds
Cambridge City Engineer Owen O'Riordan described for the group a major storm water detention project being built at Alewife Reservation. The man-made ponds will collect storm water from storm drains in the Huron Ave area, via an underground pipe. The water will be filtered through the soil and gradually drain into the Little River, and from there eventually to the Mystic River and the Boston Harbor.
