Lusitania Meadow, Late Fall
The somber hues of this late autumn scene do not obscure the shapes and textures that a few months ago supported the lush growth of leaves and flowers. Brown may appear sad to us, but for these plants it is the color of mission accomplished: seeds set, and scattered to produce future generations.
