Fall Fruit
The Reservation is loaded with fruit of many kinds that will provide winter food for birds and small resident mammals. Three examples in these photos taken at Kingsley Park, left to right, are the berries of Ilex verticillata, Winterberry, seeds of Carpinus caroliniana, Ironwood aka Hornbeam, and berries of Crataegus phaenopyrum, Washington Hawthorne.
