Turkeys at Kingsley Park
Water Department employee Brian Mulrenen was surprised to see this flock of wild turkeys commandeering a log on the top of Kingsley Park, but he still had the presence of mind to snap this photo as proof of his unusual sighting.
Wild turkey populations in suburban areas are increasing, but the birds tend not to linger at Fresh Pond, where they would be likely to encounter free-running dogs.
