Plant Identification Workshop
The Weir Meadow, shown here, and the Kingsley Bioswale provided an abundance
of native flora for identifying during this program. New England Wild
Flower Society botanist, Jessica Gerke (light bluejacket), identified
the wildflowers while Cambridge Water Department watershed manager,
Chip Norton (yellow slicker), explained the need for plant structures
to filter contaminants from rainwater running down the hillsides and
into the reservoir.
