Wool Grass, Scirpus cyperinus and Common Cattails,Typha latifolia
Wetland plants in their element: these two graminoids (grasslike plants) are growing side by side in the lower areas of the Lusitania Wet Meadow. Wool Grass, on the left, is a member of the Sedge Family (Cyperaceae), and cattails, on the right, are members of the Cattail Family (Typhaceae)
