Fresh Pond's Woodland Restoration Project
About ¼ mile north of the water department, a patch of woods
adjacent to the Perimeter Road has been restored to what it might have
looked like before the colonists arrived. Wildflowers blooming in this
cultivated woodland in August include (left to right) Woodland Sunflowers,
Helianthus divaricatus, Sweet Pepper Bush, Clethra alnifolia,
and White Wood Asters, Symphyotrichum cordifolium.
