White Wood Aster, Eurybia divaricata
The woods on the Huron Avenue hillside are currently aglow in the early
evenings with billowing mound of white wood asters. These native wild
flowers prefer a shady setting, and can endure poor soil and dry conditions.
When not in flower the plants can be recognized by the broad, pointed,
very sharply toothed leaves.
