Weeders at Rest
Deb Albenberg, Fresh Pond Stewardship Coordinator, sits with volunteers Elizabeth Wylde, Betsy Meyer, and Rebecca Ramsay on an enormous pile of Common and Glossy buckthorns (Rhamnus cathartica and Frangula alnus) in the woods behind Neville Place. The team used Weed Wrenches, including the one held by Betsy, to pull the invasive trees out of the ground, roots and all.
