Drawing from Nature
Cambridge artist Janet Hobbs led this class for people interested in learning to make pencil drawings of natural subjects. Although rain showers kept us indoors, we found plenty of material for drawing in the Maynard Ecology Center, and brought in some plant cuttings from the meadow. In the first photo, Janet (standing) demonstrates techniques for shading and accenting. In the second photo, participants share their drawings with the group.
