Learn to Identify Fresh Pond's Wildflowers
Ted Elliman from The New England Wild Flower Society led a walk around
the Reservation, identifying native wild flowers, shrubs and trees.
In the top photo he is pointing out several fern species for the group:
Bracken (Pteridium sp.) and Sensitive fern (Onoclea sensibilis)
Among the few naturally growing wild perennials in flower were those
of the American red raspberry (Rubus idaeus), bottom left photo
and a Yellow avens (Geum aleppicum), bottom right
