Golden Alexander aka Early Meadow Parsnip (Zizia aurea) -Lusitania Meadow
Golden Alexanders are herbaceous plants with branching flowers that grow in moist woods, thickets, fields (meadows) and swamps. The tiny yellow flowers are arranged in clusters (compound umbels) which are about 2" across. It is a member of the parsleyfamily that reaches heights of one to three feet.
