Wild Geranium (Geranium macalatum)

Wild Geraniums, although a native species, was once an uncommon
sight on the Reservation because invasive non-native species dominated
the landscape. The restoration projects of the Northeast Sector and LIttle
Fresh Pond have reintroduced a number of native species like Wild Geranium. Due to the efforts of volunteer weeders (who weed every spring, summer, and fall)one can find clumps of these beautiful flowers growing on thePerimeter Road. Wild Geraniums bloom from April through June in colors of pink and purple.
