Fledging Time
These two fledgling Tree Swallows, on their first day out of the nesting box, have observed a parent bird flying nearby and are making it clear to the parent that they are VERY hungry. Within a few days they will be soaring and swooping through the air, catching their own mouthfuls of insects for dinner, just as their parents do.
