Invasive Tree Removal
Fresh Pond Ranger Jean Rogers uses a hand saw to cut down a large European
Euonymus (Euonymus europaea) growing in the woods at the base
of the Beech Path. This is one of several nonnative Euonymus species
that have become invasive in North America. Even more widespread is
Burning Bush, Euonymus alata, which can be found in vast numbers
in many of our woodlands.
