Learn to Identify Fresh Pond's Wildflowers
Many beautiful wildflowers, both cultivated and uncultivated, can be
found on the Reservation. With the help of Jessica Korecki of the New
England Wild Flower Society (NEWFS), this group of participants found
and identified wild-growing wildflowers along the railroad tracks in
front of the Water Purification Facility. The group also visited the
planting bed in the middle of the Water Department parking lot, where
colorful native wildflowers such as Rudbeckia, Echinacea , Coreopsis,
Hibiscus, Asters, Goldenrods, and Lobelias are growing.
